Director of Operations (Examinations Services)

The Director of Operations has specific responsibility for directing and providing strategic leadership of CXC’s core business of Examinations Services which are delivered by the Examinations Development and Production (EDP), and Examinations Administration and Security (EAS) Departments. The accountability of this position is to drive product and service quality and customer satisfaction while maintaining an approved cost structure.

What you’ll do:

  • Provides strategic leadership and management
  • Oversees the strategic planning, development and operation of examinations services
  • Spearheads change, advancement and innovation in the provision of examinations services to expand and maintain CXC’s superior market position
  • Ensures successful administrative and financial management of the examinations services portfolio
  • General Duties
  • Any other related duties assigned from time to time by any duly authorized person

What we’re looking for:

  • A post-graduate qualification in the area of business administration, economics or related field
  • Knowledge of accounting systems as evidenced by courses included in a University Degree programme and/or evidence of learning experience in financial management and budgeting
  • A minimum of twelve years post-qualification experience in a service-based organization
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior management or leadership
    role(s)
  • Work experience in the Education Industry and/or examinations administration would be an asset
  • A demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of designing, constructing and analyzing tests or examinations is desirable
  • A proven track record of excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach senior-level staff to manage and develop high-performance teams and develop and implement program strategies
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible and innovative approach to operational management
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
