CXC offers a suite of qualifications which meets the needs of the region’s human resource demands. The qualifications range from primary – Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA), to post-secondary – Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) and the CXC Associate Degrees, and competency-based certificates such as the Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) and the Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC). In this section, learn about the developments which took place in 2015 with each of the CXC offering. E-MarkingIn 2015, CXC significantly increased the number of papers and subjects being marked using electronic marking. For CSEC May/June examinations the number of papers increased from 11 to 30 and the number of subjects increased from seven to 18. For the January CSEC sitting, all 13 subjects comprising 22 papers were e-marked. CAPE papers were e-marked for the first time this year. Thirty-seven papers from 11 subjects were e-marked in 2015.
