Big Buzz about CAPE Animation and Game Design Launch

The launch of CAPE Animation and Game Design by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) on Saturday 12 March 2016 at the KingstOOn Festival in Jamaica made the biggest buzz to date on social media for any single CXC event.

Over 20, 000 people were reached by the posts about the event on social media. Posts on the event were shared over 60 times! The launch was also streamed on three channels, CXC.org/CXCTV, Livestream and CARICOM.org. Apart from viewers in the Caribbean, the live streams were viewed by people from Brazil, Canada, Mexico, United States and United Kingdom.

The launch was held at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, and included two live animation demonstrations; one by Kenia Mattis of ListenMi Caribbean and the other by 11-year-old Jo-Nathan Smith, a student of Allman Town Primary School.
