CXC Makes Key Appointments

The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) has made some key appointments to senior posts effective June 1 and July 1 2018.

These include filling the posts of Director of Operations, Director of Corporate Services, Senior Manager – Information Systems Division, and Manager – Measurement and Evaluation.

Dr Wayne Wesley has been appointed Director of Operations – Examinations Services effective 1 June 2018.

Dr Wesley holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Florida State University, a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems from Southern Illinois University, a Bachelor of Education in Industrial Technology (First Class Honours) from the University of Technology, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Services Management from Jamaica Stock Exchange e-Campus, and a Level 8 Certificate in Strategic Direction and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute, United Kingdom.

The Jamaican national has over 24 years of experience in education and training and was former Executive Director of the HEART Trust/NTA in Jamaica.

Mrs Sharon Armstrong-Mullah, former Financial Controller has been promoted to the post of Director- Corporate Services effective 1 July 2018. Mrs Armstrong-Mullah, a Barbadian national, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants (FCCA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados. She also holds a BSc in Accounting from The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.

Mr Nicholas Rock has accepted an offer of appointment as Senior Manager, Information Systems Department effective 15 June 2018. He possesses a Master of Science in Project Management and Evaluation from UWI, Cave Hill Campus, and a Bachelor of Science.

The Barbadian national has over 10 years’ experience in the IT industry and is a Certified Virtualization Expert 4.0, as well as a Certified Information System Security professional (CISSP).

CXC has also appointed Barbadian Susan McAllister, Manager in the Examinations Development and Production Division effective 1 June 2018. She possesses a Master of Education in Testing, Measurement and Evaluation and a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies, both from The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. Ms McAllister also holds a Diploma in Education from Erdiston Teachers’ Training College.
