Three members of the management team attended the Sagicor Cave Hill School of Business and Management Executive Leadership Programme held in Miami from 6-8 June. There were Glenroy Cumberbatch, Registrar; Deborah Currency-Hunte, Senior Manager, Human Resources; and Rodney Payne, Senior Manager, Examinations Administration and Security (EAS).

Cleveland Sam, Public Relations Manager, attended the Crisis Communication Master Class hosted by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in Chicago on 7 and 8 June. The two-day workshop was geared at equipping communications professionals with tools to prepare for crises and manage them effectively when they occur.

Participants left workshop with the mantra, “What would a reasonable appropriately expect a responsible organisation to do in this situation?” as their guide to inform their response to any crisis situation.

Participants came from several sectors across the United States including higher education, healthcare, federal agencies and private public relations firms.

Additionally, 14 members of staff are pursuing the Caribbean Vocational Qualification Level 4 Assessor Training. The training started in March for those taking the certification online and 6 April for those doing the face-to-face option. The course comes to an end on 29 June.
