The concept paper for Digital Technology suggests that a course of study in Design and Technology will position the learners of the Caribbean to prepare for careers that will enable them to enter the competitive and lucrative industry through direct employment or entrepreneurial ventures. This direct engagement in the creative and engineering design process will facilitate project-based learning, innovation and problem solving as students are immersed learning activities and allowed to ask questions relative to the problem they have elected to solve; generate imaginative ideas and solutions; develop a plausible plan of action and test the proposed plan through prototyping to meet customer requirements and expectations.
