The annual May/June marking exercise started on 1 June with electronic marking (e-marking) for both CAPE and CSEC subjects. E-marking is expected to be completed on 15 July. The face-to-face marking starts on 11 July and ends on 22 July. Face-to-face marking will be held in Barbados and Jamaica. Seventeen Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) subjects and 14 Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) subjects will be marked in Barbados; while six CSEC subjects and 16 CAPE subjects will be marked in Jamaica.
Over six thousand markers from across the Caribbean will be involved in the marking exercise this year. Three thousand, one hundred and thirty-seven (3137) markers will e-mark CSEC subjects, while 1862 markers will e-mark CAPE subjects.
Barbados will host 509 CSEC face-to-face markers and 227 CAPE markers, while Jamaica will host 351 CSEC markers and 598 CAPE face-to-face markers.

What are the CSEC subjects being marked face to face.
This is utterly insane. e-marking started on JUNE 01 and ends JULY 15…I have had issues login to RM Accessor and to date, cannot get this rectified by CXC technicians…This is ridiculous!!
i have had the same experience. I tried calling but my call is re-routed then disconnected.
I would normally mark CSEC Food and Nutrition however, no offer was made to me, this year 🙁 but this notice gave no mention of Trinidad
I would love to go to Barbados and mark. What is the process to be able to do so?
Due to the challenges with technology including cost and support (utilities etc), I would welcome the opportunity to table mark in Barbados. I can be contacted at 876-821-6851 (Flow) and email helenannelizabethwilkinson@yahoo.co.uk
Thank you.

Good morning, will there be an opportunity, say every 3 to 5 years, for those subjects which are being e-marked to be marked, or at least standardised, face-to-face? The networking and sharing of best practices in teaching has been extremely valuable over the years, and I feel the mew generation of teachers and the teaching-learning-marking process would be enhanced by such an opportunity.

Why are some subjects being marked face to face and the others being e-marked? What is the criteria?
I have applied to mark csec POB but did not get a reply. I would really like to be considered a market for POB or any other business subjects. I have sent my certificates of qualification. Thank you.
Is there any way of knowing how many students were registered, across the Caribbean, to sit the Visual Arts at CSEC?
