Marking 2016

The annual May/June marking exercise started on 1 June with electronic marking (e-marking) for both CAPE and CSEC subjects. E-marking is expected to be completed on 15 July. The face-to-face marking starts on 11 July and ends on 22 July. Face-to-face marking will be held in Barbados and Jamaica. Seventeen Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) subjects and 14 Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) subjects will be marked in Barbados; while six CSEC subjects and 16 CAPE subjects will be marked in Jamaica.
Over six thousand markers from across the Caribbean will be involved in the marking exercise this year. Three thousand, one hundred and thirty-seven (3137) markers will e-mark CSEC subjects, while 1862 markers will e-mark CAPE subjects.

Barbados will host 509 CSEC face-to-face markers and 227 CAPE markers, while Jamaica will host 351 CSEC markers and 598 CAPE face-to-face markers.
