Performing Arts Conference a Success

The inaugural CSEC and CAPE Performing Arts Conference hosted by Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination (EBCCI) and sponsored by CXC and Barbados Community College has been hailed a success by delegates. Conference Chair, Ms Yvonne Weekes of the EBCCI) said “feedback from delegates indicates that it was indeed a successful first attempt and one which most delegates hope will be an annual event.”

CXC offered to workshops; one on Multiple Choice Item Writing for CSEC Theatre Arts and Music; and the other a presentation entitled “The Arts though the Years: Candidate Performance in CSEC and CAPE ‘Arts Examinations.” Both sessions were conducted by Measurement and Evaluation Officers Mr James Young and Mrs Suzanne Boodoo-Murray.

Conference participants came from Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, St Kitts and Nevis, St Maarten, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, St Lucia and Virgin Islands (UK).
