Dr Sherry Maynard was appointed Director of Technological Innovation, Information Technology Services (ITS) Division, effective 16 February 2026. As Director, Dr Maynard has responsibility for the development and implementation of innovative technological solutions to advance the organisation’s contribution to the digital transformation of the region’s education landscape.
Dr Maynard brings over two decades of experience in information technology leadership and academic instruction, having served as Information Technologist Manager, Enterprise Systems, Service Desk Manager and Part-time Lecturer in Management Studies at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill Campus.
She holds a PhD in Computer Science from UWI, becoming the first female to achieve this distinction, as well as an LLM in Information Technology Law from the University of Edinburgh, UK, and an MSc in Information Systems from Northeastern University, USA.
Dr Maynard has earned advanced certifications in Information Privacy Management, Agile Leadership, IT Service Management, and Business Analysis, and is an active member of international professional associations including the IT Service Management Forum International, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and the Scrum Alliance.
