Mr Atiba Griffith joined the staff of the Caribbean Examinations Council® (CXC®) on 1 December 2015 as Assistant Registrar, Statistician, Examination Services and was promoted to Senior Manager – Corporate Planning & Strategy Management, Corporate Services, effective 4 May 2020.
In this role, he is responsible for the effective and efficient planning, management and coordination of the Corporate Planning and Strategic Management process. Mr Griffith is tasked with ensuring the achievement of the Council’s strategic objectives while monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the Council’s strategic and operational plans at the divisional and department/unit levels to ultimately improve system and business processes.
Mr Griffith holds a Master of Science in Economics, a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the Brooklyn College (City University of New York) along with a Post-Graduate Certificate in Power Electronics & Systems and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from New York University, Tandon School of Engineering. He is a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (U.K) with designation (MIET), a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (U.S.A) and is a Balanced Scorecard Professional™ (BSP) of the Balanced Scorecard Institute (U.S.A).
Mr Griffith has previously lectured in Mathematics as a member of the Department of Computer Science, Mathematics & Physics at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. He has also utilised his mathematics, statistical and engineering skills in a variety of research projects conducted both at the regional and international level.
