Mrs Roslyn Harewood Blackman

Senior Manager, People, Culture and Change Human Resources

Effective 1 September 2021, Mrs Roslyn Harewood-Blackman was appointed to the role of Senior Manager, People, Culture and Change, within the Human Resource Department. Mrs Harewood Blackman joined the staff of CXC® in June 2002 as Assistant Registrar in the Secretariat & Office Management Division (now merged with the Finance Department to form Finance and Office Management). She later joined the Human Resource Department in the role of Manager in 2009. Effective 20 July 2020, she was appointed to the role of Senior Manager, Human Resource (Ag).

As Head of the Human Resource Department, Mrs Harewood-Blackman has responsibility for developing human resource policies and programmes for the organisation, strategic human resource planning, compensation and benefits management, recruitment, employee engagement, learning and development, and employee and industrial relations.

Mrs Harewood-Blackman, holds a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), as well as the Certified SHRM S-CP designation from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is a Balance Scorecard Professional (BSP) and E-College Tutor and holds an MBA and BBA in Management, with concentrations in Strategic Management and Human Resource Management respectively, both from Pace University, New York, USA.

Mrs Harewood-Blackman has more than 18 years’ experience in various areas of human resource development and is a member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) USA. She is certified in Project Management, Analyzing Human Performance, Human Performance Improvement in the Workplace, Selecting and Implementing Performance Improvement Solutions, Strategic Human Resource Business Partner and Change Management Linked to HR’s Strategic Leader.
