“In my French and Spanish classes, I found that the rigorous teaching and training that I had received in Sixth Form and the demands of the CAPE Foreign Language syllabi meant that I easily outperformed my classmates in many areas, or even matched the standards of those who had spent a substantial amount of time in France or Spain, or who were even French or Spanish by nationality.
