CXC and the ministries of education in Antigua and Barbuda and St Lucia will host a series of stakeholder engagements in April targeting third and fifth formers, their parents and employers.
The engagements in Antigua and Barbuda take place on April 11 and 12 at the Multi-purpose complex in St John’s. The meeting with third formers and their parents takes places on Wednesday 11 April and the meeting with fifth formers and parents is slated for Thursday 12. Both meetings start at 5:00 pm and will run to 7:00 pm.
At the meetings, there will be presentations on CXC suite of qualifications, School-Based Assessment, recognition of CXC qualifications, CXC learning support resources, and options for tertiary education.
The meetings in St Lucia are expected to take place during the last week of April.
In addition, the CXC representatives will meet with various employer groups, including the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Employers Confederation and the Ministry of the Public Service.
The objectives of the engagements are to provide parents and students with accurate information on which they can make decisions about the students’ future; opportunity for students and parents to interact with CXC; and provide a forum for CXC to receive first-hand feedback from key stakeholders.
