The Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) was offered in Anguilla, Grenada, Montserrat and St Vincent and the Grenadines in 2015. A total of 3915 candidates from the three Participating Countries wrote the external component (Multiple Choice Paper) of the CPEA.

Grenada submitted 1834 candidates, St Vincent and the Grenadines 1822, Anguilla 204 and Montserrat offered 55 candidates.

There were improved means recorded in all components compared with the means in 2014. The project continues to record the highest percentage mean of the SBA with means of 87 and 84 per cent respectively, in 2015 and 2014.

As in previous years, the four literacies tested performed similarly. For example, in 2015 the means for the can-do skills were all between 74.0 and 76.4 per cent of the maximum available score. Similarly, the means for the teacher-constructed tests were between 65.2 and 68.4 per cent of the maximum available score.

For the external assessment, the multiple choice test, performance improved in Mathematics and Science and declined in English. For Mathematics, 56 per cent of entries gained acceptable grade compared with 54 per cent in 2014, while for Science 66 per cent achieved acceptable grades compared with 65 per cent in 2014. For Language, 58 per cent achieved acceptable grade compared with 60 per cent in 2014.
