Mr Mark Wilson joined the staff of the Caribbean Examinations Council® (CXC®) in 1998 in the role of Systems Analyst/Programmer (Senior Administrative Assistant). He held this post until 2006 when he was appointed to the post of Assistant Registrar/Manager, Lead Software Developer. Effective 4 January 2021, Mr Wilson was appointed to the role of Senior Manager (Enterprise Architect), Information Technology Services Division.
As Senior Manager, Mr Wilson has responsibility for delivering fit-for-purpose software application solutions and ecosystems to support CXC’s business objectives and the needs of its evolving customer base. In addition, Mr Wilson’s role includes collaborating with business stakeholders and analysing feedback from customers to validate the translation of business requirements into appropriate technical solutions to meet CXC’s needs, and for ensuring high-quality software solutions including functional designs, at both high and low levels of detail.
Among his credentials, he possesses a Master of Science in Project Management and Project Evaluation, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Honours from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus. In addition, Mr Wilson is an ITIL Foundations Certified Professional and has technical training in the following: MS SQL Server Administration; MS SQL Server Programming; Crystal Reports; Oracle Administration; Oracle Developer/2000; Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports.
