Turks and Caicos Hosts CXC Stakeholder Meetings

Mr Glenroy Cumberbatch, CXC Registrar and Ms Andrea Austin – Assistant Registrar, Marketing, travelled to the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) to meet with stakeholders on 12-13 September. While there, they held discussions with the Premier, Honourable Rufus Ewing, and Deputy Premier and Minister of Education, Honourable Akierra Missick, on the Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC) which TCI is considering adopting to the benefit of its secondary school students.

The team also met with the CXC Local Registrar and Education Officers from the Ministry of Education, secondary school principals, heads of departments and the president of the Chamber of Commerce. The schedule also included an interview with Radio Turks and Caicos and a school tour.
